How to do it the Right Way
The goal of the Vehicle Measurement System (VMS) UX project is to ‘create a world class user experience for the vehicle diagnostic measurement tool’ which not only meets the needs of Automotive After market and its customers, but also goes beyond in terms of delight to use.
11 interviews with service technicians in Michigan, and 3 expert interviews will throw light on the use of diagnostic application in vehicle diagnostics. This will form the basis of creating opportunity areas and design principle, and following design and ideation phases.
The user-centered design process was applied to achieve the goal, focusing on seamless interaction possibilities, simplified work flows, improved usability and outstanding visual design. The proposed design would then be tested with actual users to ensure that specific design parameters are met and the overall degree of user experience is high.
